As seen in many photos of the city, Florence Cathedral in the Piazza del Duomo, dominates the skyline with its famous red dome. Now part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site it makes up part of the cathedral complex which also includes the Baptistery, one of the oldest buildings in the city constructed in the 11th Century.
