Head to the Independence National Historical Park, and see for yourself the famous Liberty Bell, said to be the ´chime that changed the world` in July 1776 as it chimed to announce Colonel John Nixon’s reading of the Declaration of Independence. Visit the Independence Hall located in the park, you can’t miss it with its Georgian style architecture! This historic civic building is a focal point and no wonder as it’s also where the United States Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were debated and adopted.
In the old district you will also find the National Liberty Museum. Through its combination of special temporary exhibitions it highlights specific stories and people, and through a cutting-edge permanent exhibition it brings the idea of liberty to life. Get your tickets here…
